| | | Why do I get mad all the time with this? | | My mother hates to carry bags and she will always call me to go to the store with her. Then she will come out of the store and say how am I going to get this home? It burns me up inside when she does this. She just called and asked me to go to the store with her I said yes and also asked what she was going for? She never answered. I think let me do it being she is my mother. But,who says I want to always carry heavy bags. She also knows how I hate to go to the store when I am trying not to over draft my account. | |
| | This is how capitalism works. | | NEW YORK -- U.S. airlines never met a fee they didn't like. Until now, it seems.Five major carriers today agreed not to follow the lead of a small Florida airline that plans to charge for carry-on bags. Their commitment comes just in time to keep travelers from running for the exits during the peak summer flying season, but it is doubtful that it marks a change in strategy.Airlines are going to tack on every fee they feel they can get away with because it bolsters their revenue stream while allowing them to keep base fares lower. They just don't feel like passengers will tolerate losing their sacred free carry-ons -- at least not right now.The promise to New York Sen. Charles Schumer from American Airlines, Delta Air Lines, United Airlines, US Airways and JetBlue Airways comes despite the fact that some of those same airlines are expected to report first-quarter losses next week. They were stung by higher fuel prices and the heavy February snowstorms. Previous coverage: Democratic senators seek to tax any U.S. airline that charges for carry-on bags U.S. Sen. Charles Schumer to urge prohibition of airline fees on carry-on baggage Spirit Airlines' $45... | |

| | Do you like to go for shopping with your girl? | | Shopping is a hobby for many women. For some of them it is a kind of stress-buster. For many of them, it is a way to overcome some heart-ache... Just now, I responded to a discussion where the author has asked whether it is proper for a man to help a lady with her bags, while shopping... And I remembered the past incidents in my life. A friend of mine, with whom I had a relationship later, had told me that guys always hated to go with girls for shopping. Because girls took a lot of time to select their articles and would come up with many questions, which the boys couldn't answer. The process was too lengthy for the patience of boys...etc...[em]lol[/em] And then, she asked me whether I would go with her for her shopping. I said, I would, with pleasure and I meant it! I never saw any problem with lengthy shopping hours.. Moreover, I like to help ladies with shopping. It gives room for creativity and imagination, as to what will suit the lady that I am with! It is fun to help them select articles and carry their bags, when they keep forgetting things here and there. How is it with you guys? Do you like to help your girl with shopping? Or do you leave it to her and her... | |
| | Is it alright for guys to carry bags for the ladies? | | Do you think that it is alright for guys to you carry bags for ladies? I am not referring to guys carrying ladies' bag. I mean guys who help the ladies to carry their bag during shopping trips etc.I have heard of people criticizing that guys shouldn't pamper ladies by offering to carry their bags and many negative comments such as the guy must have wanted to desperately to carry a lady design bag or the guy must be very fearful of the lady to help her carry the bag etc...-> If you think it is not good for guys to do so, then what if the lady in question is his mom, wife or girlfriend or someone in need? Does it still seem to be that bad?-> Ladies, do you think you will let or want your guy friend or even boyfriend to help you carry your bag? -> And guys, what do you think about carrying bag for the ladies? -> What's your view on guys who carry the bag for ladies? | |
| | I challenge you!! | | As the christmas holiday is coming upon us some of us become inspired to pass on the christmas cheer. I think this is a wonderful Idea but I also think it shouldnt take christmas for us to do something nice. I am not just talking about money, gifts, or good deeds either. Some of us cant afford that type of thing. I am talking about random acts of kindness. Opening the door for someone, say thank you to a clerk when they help you, take out a neighbors trash, etc. Things that dont cost anything but really make an impression on people. I always try to treat others as I want to be treated but sometimes we become complacent and forget to say thank you or goodmorning, leave a friend in a lurch because we are too busy. Guilty! About two years ago I was at the mall and I watched the salespeople do the very minimnum they could to help this elderly woman who was trying to buy a television. They didnt even offer to help carry it. It was me who offered then they realized if they didnt help it would look terrible. I ve seen cab drivers sit in the car as elderly man lugged his bags to his door. He then expected a tip. That was when i realized that I was going to become a better person. I began... | |
