| Getting to know you - Let's talk purses, handbags etc. | | Okay ladies!! I want to get to know you better. So, I am going to start asking some questions to do so. I want to start out by asking: Do you carry a purse? If so, what color is it? How many do you own? Do carry a hand bag, cigeratte case or anything like that? If so, what is teh brand? Does your shoulder ever hurt where you need to switch sides to carry it on? | |

| They're bringing fanny back? | | I mean, fanny packs back?:)Yes, the much scorned, fashion faux pas is coming back with a different name.. now referred to as a 'hipster' or 'waist belt/bag'.Would you or do you still wear a fanny pack? | |
| | Painters Pants? Love them or hate them? | | I own a couple pair of Painters Jeans. You know the ones I hope. They have the side pocket near the knee area that will hold tools or something along those lines. They also have that loop of material like a belt on the other leg that would hold a hammer. Well I love the fit they have on me that's why I wear them. But just a minute ago I recvalled why I don't wear them while I'm on the computer. That loop of material always gets hooked into the arm of my computer chair almost making me fall flat on my face. What I'd like to know is do you own any of this style of pants? Are these a thing of the past or what? I haven't shopped for jeans/pants in ages so I haven't really paid attention to the stores displays of jeans etc. I use the side pocket near the knee for my wallet as I can feel it's presense there much better that if it were in my back pocket. It's also a very deep pocket.

| Finders keepers losers weepers! | | Years ago while jogging I sat on a rock beside the road to rest in the shade.By my foot was a marlboro box cigg package. It had a not slide inside the celophane and being the curious type I picked it up.The note said 'Save This One'
I opened the flip top and pulled the foil out and out dropped 3 one hundred dollar bills folded very flat. What a shock.
I stuck pack, bills, note and all in my fanny pack(this was years ago when fanny packs were in)and headed for the police station.I went in, gave a statement and handed over the loot!
I really didn't think any more about it because I was sure who ever lost it would be looking for it.
About a month and a half later I got a call from the dispatcher for the police asking me to come in to see such and such officer.
I don't mind telling you I was a bit nervous wondering what it could be about.
I went that day to see the officer.
He handed me a large manila envelope, asked to to look inside, then to sign the statement on the outside .
The marlboro box, money, note and all was in ht e envelope. It was mine to keep and I got a special certificate for handing it in and being honest.
Had I spent the money when I found it I would always...
| | Hidden Safety Devices for Children-Under $10.00 | | Have you seen the backpacks they have for children with the alarms in them . I saw them on television last year and just saw a discussion where a lady was worried about her children.
This seems like a perfect way to safeguard your child. Since it seems all children wear backpacks a man has invited an alarm. If the child feels like they are in danger they pull a cord and a screaming siren will go off and draw attention to the child.
They are at alarm.com and you can get them for adults as well as children. They come in jackets, fanny packs and backpacks. Go and check it out. I dont think you can beat the price. 10.oo for piece of mind . Or you can spend more and get one of the other devices. it looks like they start at 10.00 for the fanny pack and go up.
I think that kids have to be aware of their surroundings and know who they can trust . They need to be given a password so anyone coming to pick them up at school other then a close relatived has to know that password. It will have to be one the child can remember too. Good luck and I hope this has helped someone out there that may be worried about their child.
