myLot Topics| Do you own things, toys, etc. that you still have since you were a child? | | I do. A porcelain doll which my grandma bought when I was still a kid. It stays intact still in its container and named Tammy. It lasted this long because I seldom play with it when I was young since its very delicate and my mother sorta locked it on a show cabinet. Up to this day, I still caress it sometimes and have nobody to give it to since I only have one child and is a boy.
| | Collecting. | | Hey, people! I wonder if you collect anything?
I collect post stamps, I've been doing it for like 10 years I think. I am not a serious collector, it's just like hobby. I have like one or two thousands of stamps I think, it's quite interesting to see which stamps are being used in other countries.
(If you have some spare stamps then you can send me lol[em]lol[/em])
I also started to collect Galoob Military Micro Machines recently. I had some of them when I was a kid, but they all got stolen and then I saw them recently at eBay. Now I've ordered two sets from USA and now save money for another sets.Do you collect anything? How large is your collection?
| | Who misses old school games?:D | | I miss really old pc games and playstation and gameboy games. Either I was younger back then, or it really was more fun! I miss the point n click adventures like the monkey Island series, and Sam n Max, all the lucas arts adventure games.
Also I remember micro machines:D! It was fun multiplayer and knocking people off the table:PThere was some really old racing track game where you drove 4x4 on sand dunes, but i cant really remember the title, its like micro machines but on a smaller track and lots of bumpy sand dunes, and simpler graphics. Also Leisure Suit larry was fun:P Actually played when I was really young, so I didn't really know why the lady in the bed got pregnant in the game then:D. It was a funny game tho:PAnd FF7 is kinda oldschool nowadays, since its more than 10 years ago now:D. But I remember when it was new!! Harvest moon on snes was really addictive. Didn't know brushing cows and growing veges could be so much fun:S.Well tetris is probably the most old
school game i ever played, since I played it when i was 4 or 5.Actually, i also played minesweeper in windows 3.1 or something, and columns:oWhat's everyones favourite old games?

| | What is the future of computers and electronics in the next 50 years? | | I often wonder what the future holds for computer and electronic technology.
Oh, I can read about it online, and in magazines, but I'm wondering if there are any really unique concepts out there that may not be in the mainstream consciousness yet. I'm not talking about 200 years out, but how about in the next 50 years? For example, I think we can speculate that: WITHIN 50 YEARS:-Computers as we know them will disappear, and much smaller, "wearable" devices will become the norm.
-Homes will be (some already are) operated by computers, even remotely.
-Cars are already operated by computers, and that will grow considerably.
-"Electronic medicines" may evolve where a micro-mini computer is swallowed or implanted in strategic body locations, to supply the body with perfect medicinal doses.
-Micro machines will operate in nano-size, perhaps to perform delicate surgeries inside the body.
-Computer technology will evolve to "read" peoples' minds; i.e., they will be able to detect and analyze pheremones we give off, nervous energies we may emit, eye movements, facial expressions, other suspicious characteristics.Let's hear more!
