US Air Force Confirms UFO Crash?
Hmm does anyone know if this is truth or is it a rumor? Now having seen unidentified flying objects of all sorts, some crafts like others not on and off through out my life I do not discount that something was not witnessed but the question is whether it was man made, alien made, or Just natural beings that that are mysteriously elusive to us is the next questioned posed...What is your thoughts on this article? -------------------------------------- US Air Force Confirms UFO Crash Newly Declassified Documents Confirm MOON DUST Involvement in Bolivia UFO Crash of a Pair of Weird Spheres http://www.virtuallystrange.net/ufo/updates/2007/may/m04-003.shtml ------------------------------------- Is this real or rumors? The End Of An Era
I saw President Gloria Arroyo early morning walking (and greeting local residents passing by) just outside the gates of The Mansion House here in Baguio City and I realized this is her last Christmas holiday as a sitting president. I remember during EDSA Dos when she was much younger and the country's hopes were placed squarely on her shoulders. Seeing her face up close now, older (but not wiser), is a stark contrast to what she looked like in 2001. For a moment I kinda felt sorry for her, as a person and not as a political leader, kinda like how I felt as a teenager seeing the late dictator Ferdinand Marcos board a US Air Force chopper to Hawaii, you feel sorry for the person but not for the politics he/she represents. And I feel sorry for us all - of the lost promises of EDSA 1 and 2, and all the missed opportunities at greatness. So when January comes, the Philippines will essentially begin the countdown to the final days of the Arroyo Administration. Whether she likes it or not, for the next few months, she will no longer be the main newsmaker. Our tv sets, radios, local websites and newspapers will now focus more on the presidential candidates for the May elections. Gloria...
First we import the fake festival and then we import the paranoia...
So, we've just had Hallowe'en and one local church hosted an "alternative" to Hallowe'en to combat "occult forces" asking kids to dress up as nice things (including fairies for some reason) and nothing scary. When I was growing up in the Seventies and Eighties I only knew one place where Trick or Treating occured and that was near a US Air Force base, the families there were the instigators. In the nineties it took off, not because of any religious fervour on the part of anyone but because retailers could make money from it. Put simply, here in the UK it is nothing more than a fake commercial festival.I'm not talking about Samhain for those who genuinely celebrate it or All Hallows for those that celebrate that.So we've imported this tacky commercial nonesense and then imported the paranoia as well - via the Evangelical-style churches that have close ties with their US equivalents.Wouldn't it be better if the worried churches actually aimed their campaign at the real organisers - the shops and the manufacturers - rather than pretending there's an occult conspiracy?
what is a degree worth?
Ok, so let me just lay it out for all of you that might still have a chance. A degree alone, while it does open a few doors for you, is just simply not enough. Employers want a combination of education and experience. Internships. That's what I'm talking about. And for most colleges career services, they are very picky about the GPA required to even interview for the internships they have available. So, first, please please please heed my warning and do not listen to the morons who tell you your GPA is not a big deal. Did you know that you can't even be an officer in the US Air Force if you do not have a 3.0 GPA. Yep. Your GPA is important. Granted, the majority of employers will not even ask for it. But your career services, who holds the key to the internships you need, will. Which brings me to the second thing. Internships. Start looking your sophomore year. I am not even kidding. Get your resume together. Make sure your teachers know who you are so you can get good references. Yep. Be the teacher's pet. It's worth the ridicule from your classmates. Believe me. I'm on the other side and now I know what I should have been doing in college. I'm serious. Education and experience....
WANTED: Job for computer gamers
Are you looking for a job? Do you like to play computer games? Then you can be hired by US Air Force!USAF is looking for pilots of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAV) or drones, which are now used in war against insurgencies and terrorists in Iraq and Afganistan. This light aircraft is operated wirelessly and remotely by a trained pilot who just stays in the United States while indulging a special mission in the Middle East. It is basically run and flown using buttons and joystick, like a computer game. The operator just watch and control the movement and activities of the plane into monitors. The UAV is equipped with survellance cameras that can be zoomed in from a distance with utmost clarity. This helps to find the illusive enemies hiding in the camouflaging terrains like in Afganistan. These bird's eye views give wider perspectives to the commanders to analyze situations and give direct orders. But, UAV is not only used for survellance; it is also equipped with missiles and bombs. It can hit the targets with extreme accuracy, reason that threatens the enemies.Back to the main topic, the USAF is conducting a screening process of finding qualified applicants who have the...
Does a computer engineer play a important role in designing an aircraft?
I have a great interest in computer and aircraft's, especially military aircrafts. I am planning to do computer engineering and be involved in the designing of military aircrafts (aircraft's computer).I need to know whether the US Air Force needs computer engineers and if yes, will a computer engineer be wearing uniform and do they have military ranks?
Why do liberals pretend that terrorists didn't attack us under Clinton?
I'm getting really sick of all the liberals who lie and claim that we weren't attacked when Clinton was president. Whenever someone says "Bush kept us safe because after 9-11 we had 8 years with no terrorist attacks" you always get a democrat saying "Well he had 9-11 and you could say that Clinton kept us safe for 8 years because we had NO terrorist attacks under him." That's bull$hit. Under Clinton we were attacked EIGHT TIMES by terrorists both foreign and domestic. Most people can name 2 or 3 if their head isn't rammed too far up the butt of the democrat party. Here's a little chronology of our terrorist attacks under Bush and Clinton.Bush:September 11, 2001 - Terrorists hijack four U.S. commercial airliners taking off from various locations in the United States in a coordinated suicide attack. In separate attacks, two of the airliners crash into the twin towers of the World Trade Center in New York City, which catch fire and eventually collapse. A third airliner crashes into the Pentagon in Washington, DC, causing extensive damage. The fourth airliner, also believed to be heading towards Washington, DC, crashes outside Shanksville, PA., killing all 45 people on...
Does Anyone Know COBOL Programming?
I have never thought I would study the COBOL programming language again. I learned it way back in 1988 when I was still in college. All the while I thought it was a dead programming language that no one uses any more. Recently I found out that there are still work opportunities for it so I am trying to recall it.[em]happy[/em]For those who are curious, here is an excerpt from Wikipedia:[em]thumbup[/em][em]happy[/em]COBOL (pronounced/ˈkoʊbɒl/) is one of the oldest programming languages still in active use. Its name is an acronym for COmmon Business-Oriented Language, defining its primary domain in business, finance, and administrative systems for companies and governments. The COBOL 2002 standard includes support for object-oriented programming and other modern language features. A specification of COBOL was initially created during the second half of 1959. The scene was set on April 8 at a meeting of computer manufacturers, users and university people at the University of Pennsylvania Computing Center and subsequently the United States Department of Defense agreed to sponsor and oversee the next activities. A meeting was held at the Pentagon on May 28 and 29 (exactly one year...
Relocating to England
My family and I will be moving to RAF Croughton in early November. We will have a few weeks to get settled before my husband has to start working (he's in the US air force). We would like to do some traveling in England. Any suggestions? Just wondering, thanks!Rachel
They fell asleep????
The U.S. Air Force admitted on Thursday that a missle launch crew fell asleep. During an exercise! During when it mattered the most that they not fall asleep. All they really had to do was stay awake and press a button but they couldn't even do that. What the heck.
